Oh No. Not Another Podcast.

I know.

The last thing the world needs is another person announcing they are “launching a podcast.” The phrase alone makes you want to lie down. We have reached peak podcast. There are podcasts about decluttering your sock drawer. Podcasts about sourdough starters. Probably a podcast hosted by your neighbor’s Labradoodle.

So when I tell you I’m the new cohost of a podcast, I need you to know I did, in fact, pause and whisper to myself:

“Oh no. Not me too.”

But here’s the twist.

It’s not a new podcast.

It’s an old podcast with a new co-host.

And that new co-host is… me.

Introducing MOM NOM.

Before you roll your eyes completely into the back of your head, let me explain why this one might actually deserve 15 minutes of your life.

Fifteen.

Not fifty.
Not “we promise we’ll keep it short” and then surprise you with a 97-minute deep dive into our childhood memories.

Fifteen minutes or less.

Because you are busy. I am busy. Moms do not have time to listen to two random people drone on about their Enneagram numbers and how they “really found themselves during 2020.”

That is not what this is.

MOM NOM was created for moms in the thick of actual life. The pickup line. The laundry mountain. The moment you lock yourself in the bathroom not for drama, but for silence.

Each episode is a quick, snackable conversation about one singular aspect of mom life. Emphasis on singular. We’re not solving the global economy. We’re not unpacking our entire childhoods. We are talking about one real, relevant topic at a time — the hot-button ones, the funny ones, the common questions, and the quietly wondered ones.

It’s honest. It’s encouraging. It’s practical. And occasionally it’s ridiculous — because motherhood is equal parts beautiful and bananas.

The podcast is brought to you by The MomCo (that’s me!! and Colorado Christian University (that’s my cohost Tia), which makes us sound very official, but I promise the tone is far more “coffee hang” than “conference keynote.”

Now you may be wondering:
How did this happen?

The answer is shockingly unglamorous.

They asked at work if anyone was willing to be the new cohost.

I raised my hand.

Sometimes that’s all it takes. A raised hand and a willingness to try something new.

My cohost Tia and I have been recording for weeks now, and I can confidently say we are not attempting to become thought leaders. We are attempting to become helpful. There is a difference.

As many of you know, I am physically incapable of explaining anything without a wild analogy and a mild exaggeration. In the span of a few episodes I have already referenced wedding cakes at class parties, the Pope’s North American tour, and the absurd cultural expectation that every human must produce dinner every single night.

We are having an alarming amount of fun.

So if you have 15 minutes — while driving, folding laundry, hiding in your pantry — I hope you’ll give MOM NOM a listen.

New episodes drop every Wednesday. The first two dropped last week.

Search for MOM NOM on whatever podcast platform you use. You genuinely cannot miss it. Then follow along on the socials at @momnompodcast so you can comment, ask questions, and suggest topics you’d like us to tackle.

We make no guarantees about life-altering answers.

But we do promise a lot of laughs.

And, every now and then, a small piece of wisdom you didn’t know you needed.

Which, frankly, feels like enough.
